The Use of Research in Advertising

Good morning. Jack Henry and I are delighted to be here.

Before we get into the presentation, I'd like to give you a little biographical information on Jack and me.

Jack Henry was born and raised in Wilmington, Delaware. He was educated at the University of Delaware where he received a Bachelors Degree with a major in mathematics. Jack joined the Procter & Gamble Company after graduation, as a trainee in the Market Research Department. He has spent his full career in the research department of Procter & Gamble. In 1959, Jack became Manager of the department in the U.S. In 1961, his responsibilities were broadened to include International Market Research activities. In addition to his" business responsibilities, Jack serves as a Trustee for the Cincinnati Country Day School and on the National Council of the Boy Scouts. Recently, he has also served as Chairman of the Board of the Advertising Research Foundation.
