Marketers are showing continuing confidence in the state of the industry, according to latest results from Warc’s monthly Global Marketing Index (GMI).

Combines data for trading conditions, marketing budgets and staffing. Above 50 = generally improving; below 50 = generally declining

The headline GMI reading – which takes into account marketers’ expectations for trading conditions, marketing budgets and staffing levels – recorded a value of 56.5 in May, exactly the same as the result from April, demonstrating that, overall, the global marketing community is expecting conditions to improve in the near future.
