Global adspend will rise 4.5% to US$519.8bn next year, according to the latest forecast from GroupM. Of this, North america will take the largest share (36.1%) followed by Asia-Pacific on 33.4% and Western Europe on 18.1%. Asia-Pacific will be the fastest-growing region in 2016, with spend rising 7.1% year-on-year, well ahead of the global average. Come 2020, Asia-Pacific is expected to have overtaken North america as the largest adspend region.
