Tracking global consumer behaviour: Insights from the 2012 nVision International Client Conference

In a sign of its aspirations for the day, trend analysts at the Future Foundation entitled its nVision International Client Conference "Devour Distance, Achieve Scale, React Now". The event, held in London in September 2012, brought together a range of speakers to address the topic of coming trends in global consumer behaviour.

The presentations covered a range of topics including cashless payments, concierge brands, leisure, and data use but, overall, five key themes emerged that are predicted to have a powerful impact on marketing to the middle-classes of an increasingly connected world economy. These were:

  • mobility,
  • transparency,
  • connectivity,
  • automation
  • competition.
