INTRODUCTION

Between 1998 and 2000, Market Facts Motoresearch fielded several proprietary studies that investigated consumer reactions to a variety of new vehicle propulsion technologies, such as batteryelectric, hybridelectric and fuel cellelectric vehicles. In nearly all cases, the methodologies involved providing consumers with information about the strengths and weaknesses of each of these technologies, and then collecting feedback relative to consumer likes, dislikes and the relevance of the information presented.
