The background to the project
At a Research Development Foundation (RDF) Seminar held at Nottingham University in 1992, the level of co-operation by the general public in research was noted as a key topic deserving attention. This conclusion was also reached by the Market Research Society Professional Standards Committee in compiling the MRS Guidelines for Handling Databases published in 1995.
