Over 90% of 8-19 year-olds in the UK have access to an over-the-top (OTT) TV service, according to the latest data from MediaCom. A reported 94% said they had access to at least one service in 2018, up from 77% in 2015. This comes as the BBC and ITV announced their own OTT platform, BritBox, to be launched in the second half of 2019.
Netflix is the most popular platform among those asked and saw the largest growth since 2015, up 28 percentage points to two-thirds. Amazon Prime Video recorded penetration of 38% while NOW TV reached 20%....
