Marketing Assistant

We are seeking a bright, enthusiastic Marketing Assistant to support the Marketing team at Warc. The role is full-time and based in our central London office.

Objectives of the role

The Marketing Assistant will support the Warc Marketing team across a range of marketing activities primarily of warc.com, including events, social media, reporting and data management to deliver regular and high standard global marketing campaigns.

Reporting

The Marketing Assistant will report to the Marketing Manager, but work closely on a day-to-day basis with the whole marketing team, liaising as necessary with the wider teams, including Editorial, Commercial and IT.

Key responsibilities

  • Implementation of marketing plans for warc.com
  • Executing and reporting on email marketing campaigns for both acquisition and retention marketing
  • Executing social media campaigns on Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn
  • Profiling, extracting and preparing internal and external data for marketing campaigns.
  • Estimating costs prior to implementation of marketing plans to ensure campaigns keep within budget.
  • Liaising with external suppliers – email service provider (ESP), list brokers, designers, etc.
  • Researching and building prospect lists
  • Administration and organisation of warc.com exhibition presence.
  • Coordinating production and delivery of marketing materials.
  • Analysing data on trials and other data to ensure the support of the global sales team.
  • Keeping accurate records of all marketing and promotional activity – key dates, quantities, costs, lead and revenues generated
  • Extracting data required for monthly marketing KPI reporting, including SEO, trials, Google referrals and sales converted from marketing activities
  • Ensuring corporate branding and identity is represented correctly on all company collateral
  • Assisting the Marketing Manager/team with other aspects of his/her responsibilities, particularly marketing research, planning and sales team support.
  • Contributing ideas to improve the effectiveness of our marketing activities.
  • Responding to in-bound enquiries from customers, liaising as necessary with other staff or external suppliers.

Main requirements

  • Applicants need to be proactive multi-taskers with initiative, an eye for detail and an organized and methodical approach to work.
  • An interest in, and understanding of, marketing.
  • Web and social media savvy.
  • Any previous marketing experience or internship would be an advantage.
  • A strong academic track record, preferably in a discipline requiring high levels of literacy and analysis would be an advantage
  • An obsessive eye for accuracy, detail and consistency.
  • Good IT skills, preferably including familiarity with CRM databases, MS Excel and Access, publishing and image software (e.g. InDesign, Photoshop) and basic HTML.
  • Adherence to Warc's company values, led by our purpose of 'making advertising smarter'.

Salary

£19-22k (depending on experience) plus benefits, including annual bonus potential, private healthcare and voluntary contributory pension scheme.
