eBookers Turns to Offline Ads

Online travel agent eBookers has reportedly ditched online advertising for being overpriced and ineffective!

According to a report in British newspaper the Daily Mail, the dotcom will not be renewing its contract with AOL, choosing instead more traditional means of advertising which it claims are more effective.

The e-tailer also posted Q4 losses of £6.46 million, three times the previous year’s £2.14m – a jump eBookers blames on a six-fold hike in marketing expenditure. However, it also announced a near fivefold rise in fourth-quarter sales from £6.7m to £30.1m.
