Yahoo Marketing Chief Heads to Nintendo

29 October 2007

SUNNY VALE, California: Yahoo marketing supremo Cammie Dunaway, whose imminent departure from the online giant was announced last week, is to take up a new role as vp-sales and marketing at gaming titan Nintendo of America.

She will fill the position vacated in the spring by Reggie Fils-Aime, who was promoted to president/coo.

Enthuses Dunaway: "Being able to further shape a leading brand like Nintendo is a tremendous opportunity. I'm looking forward to building on Nintendo's industry-defining reputation as a disruptor, as the company continues to prove that everyone's a gamer."

  • Meantime, Yahoo's UK unit has promoted Andrew Cocker to the role of marketing director. The erstwhile marketing manager succeeds Greg Grant, who departed last month.

Among Cocker's first duties will be to oversee the pitch for the online firm's £2.6 million ($5.3m; €3.7m) UK advertising business.
