Website Gives TV Ad Creatives Access to Mix ‘n’ Match Music

07 November 2002

The London unit of Bertelsmann-owned record label BMG – whose recording artists include Dido, Natalie Imbruglia, Annie Lennox and Will Young – this week launched a website that allows agency creatives to register via the ‘Music for Ads/TV/Films’ option, then access and mull appropriate music for backing TV and film ads.

The facility allows users to upload their films and videos to the site and run tracks alongside them to establish how well they fit. The site features over 1,500 current and upcoming music tracks including pop, R&B, dance, rock and classical. If the right music is found it can be ordered online.

Says BMG brand partnerships marketing manager Adam Bradley: “The strength of this site is the virtual studio where creatives can experiment with their project and evaluate the suitability of tracks online. We hope that this will become an indispensable, easy and fun tool, accessible 24/7 via a desktop icon."
