WPP Group has purchased French ad shop Les Ouvriers du Paradis as the latest addition to its number four creative network Red Cell.

The holding company bought the total issued share capital of the Parisian agency, which boasted revenues of €4.5 million ($4.4m; £2.9m) and net assets of €1.39m in 2001.

The shop will be renamed Les Ouvriers du Paradis/Red Cell and combine its operations with those of Red Cell’s existing Parisian outpost.
