WPP Finally Names Worldwide Creative Chief

    LONDON - Five months after the involuntary departure of motormouth creative honcho Neil French, WPP Group has named Robyn Putter as group worldwide creative director.
    Putter, quondam executive chairman of Ogilvy South Africa, retains his current role as chairman of the Ogilvy Worldwide Creative Council.
    French quit in October after stirring-up a hornets' nest with his sweeping denigration of women ad executives at an industry dinner in Toronto [WAMN: 24-Oct-05].
