Wieden & Kennedy’s Portland, Oregon office last night scooped top honors at the 19th annual Kelly Awards sponsored by the Magazine Publishers of America.

At a ceremony in Chicago, W&K took home two awards: the coveted $100,000 prize for general excellence was conferred on its Smart is Beautiful campaign for internet portal Alta Vista; while the same work won additional recognition for ‘best meeting the objectives of a campaign’.

Miami agency Crispin Porter & Bogusky won the award for best design and graphics in acknowledgement of its campaign for Giro Sport Design; and Interpublic’s Carmichael Lynch in Minneapolis won the prize for best headline and copy on behalf of Harley-Davidson motorcycles.

The winners were selected from 25 finalists by creative directors at agencies nationwide.
