Online banner ads for Toyota Motor Sales USA are using realtime weather-forecasting technology to display whichever Toyota Solara convertible ad is best suited for a user's local weather – for example, a sunny day features the model with its top down, whereas forecasts of rain trigger an ad showing the top firmly up.

The ads appear on the Weather Services International site run by, which targets outdoor recreation enthusiasts and others interested in current local weather conditions.

The Solara is also exclusive sponsor of WSI’s Top-up/Top-down feature on the DRIVEcast segment. This shows weather-related driving conditions nationwide based on sun and UV levels, humidity, cloud cover and precipitation.
