Vodafone To Axe 200 Marketing Jobs

15 May 2006

NEWBURY, UK - Cellphone giant Vodafone is to axe around 200 group marketing jobs following the revamp set in motion earlier in the year by newly-appointed global director of consumer marketing Frank Rovekamp.
The layoffs will see the effective end of the centralised marketing function and will give local operations more control.
Ceo Arun Sarin reorganized the UK-headquartered company into three business divisions last month to renew focus on Europe [WAMN: 10-Apr-06].
