Vodafone Taps Wieden & Kennedy for $75 million Global Creative Duties

10 May 2001

Mobile phone giant Vodafone has named Wieden & Kennedy in Amsterdam as lead global creative shop on its $75 million account.

The agency will oversee the client’s transformation into a single brand, creating concepts and frameworks for global campaigns which can be developed at a regional level by local Vodafone shops.

Wieden & Kennedy won the account following a pitch against McCann-Erickson WorldGroup – which conducted global rebranding work for Vodafone last year [WAMN: 03-10-00] – and WCRS. The new incumbent will work alongside the client’s global strategic and branding shop, Tempus Partners.
