Universal McCann Appoints New Asia-Pacific President

NEW YORK - Media agency network Universal McCann has appointed Briton David Morgan president of its Asia-Pacific operations. He replaces Allan Medforth, who quit the IPG unit in February.

Morgan (41) joins UM from WPP Group's Mediaedge:cia, where he was chief executive of its Asia-Pacific operations. He will be based in Singapore, reporting to UM's worldwide ceo Nick Brien.

Commented the latter: "This is a complex region with its unique set of challenges and David will be fundamental to enhancing and cultivating UM's presence, delivering sustainable communication advantage for our clients."
