US Sports Radio Stations Go Mobile

02 May 2006

NEW YORK - CBS and Clear Channel Communications have sealed deals with mobile-phone content provider MSpot.
Their agreements will see some of America's most popular sports stations broadcasting to mobile phones. The stations will be available to Sprint subscribers with Mspot-compatible phones, paying an additional $5.95 monthly for the sports package.
The broadcasters will run the same advertising on MSpot that listeners hear on the internet streams of their stations, allowing the companies to eventually boost those rates.
