US Magazine Ad Pages Return to Growth

Magazine advertising in the US bounced back from an August dip with a September song, according to the latest figures from the Publishers Information Bureau.

The number of ad pages rose 2.6% year-on-year last month, following a 5.8% tumble the month prior. For the year to date, pages have fallen 6.6%.

Eight of the PIB’s twelve ad categories posted a rise in pages in September, with the drugs sector’s 14.4% jump the biggest of all. Falling fastest was the public transport/hotels/resorts category, down 7.8%.
