LONDON: UK publisher Associated Newspapers will welcome latest ABCe figures that show its Mail Online was the most popular newspaper website during May.
The numbers show the site attracted 18.7 million users, up 3.7% from April, and ahead of arch-rivals Guardian.co.uk and Telegraph.co.uk.
The latter notched up 18.4m users in May and a rise of 150% on the same period last year.
Guardian.co.uk saw its user numbers slip to 18.3m form 18.6m in April. The Times' website attracted 15.8m unique users in May, while its tabloid sibling, Sun Online, notched 14.95m, a rise of 66.1% year on year.
