06 April 2007

STAMFORD, Connecticut: Time Warner Cable and the Walt Disney Company this week inked a deal that will enable to former to carry the latter's high-definition TV channels.

The deal will make three new HDTV channels - ABC Family HD, Disney Channel HD and ESPNEWS HD - available to TWC's 13.4 million subscribers, although not before 2008.

In the meantime, however, TWC will air sports channels ESPN2 HD and ESPNU later this year. Some systems will also offer Disney Channel on Demand and ESPN Desportes.
