Time Warner Appoints TV Boss to Head AOL

17 November 2006

NEW YORK: Time Warner has named TV executive Randy Falco as new chairman/ceo of its online division AOL. He is currently number two in the management suite and a 30-year veteran at the NBC Universal group.

Falco will replace Jonathan Miller who has overseen significant job cuts in recent months as AOL transforms itself from a declining, subscription-based dial-up service into an advertising-supported internet portal.

Comments TW ceo Richard Parsons: "Randy is a first-rate choice to ensure AOL realises its promise."
