TW Cable Moots 'Hits Channel' to Big Four Networks

29 March 2006

NEW YORK - The 'Big Four' US TV networks have been approached by Time Warner Cable with a view to creating a 'Hits channel' that would allow viewers to watch instant reruns of the most popular TV programs.
Talks are in progress between TWC and the production units of ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox.
According to TWC spokesman Mark Harrad: "It's just another outlet for customers to do time-shifting. It wouldn't necessarily substitute for - and could complement - DVRs."
