Schering-Plough Unit Reviews $80m Broadcast Buying Duties

Schering-Plough Healthcare Products, the consumer division of pharmaceutical mammoth Schering-Plough, has reportedly contacted a number of unnamed national media networks about its $80 million broadcast buying duties.

Brands covered by the account include Coppertone suntan lotions, Dr Scholl’s foot care range, allergy treatment Chlor-Trimeton, Lotrimin athlete’s foot products and Afrin decongestants.

The broadcast media-buying incumbent is Interpublic’s TN Media in New York. Creative, media planning and buying are overseen by Havas-owned Messner Vetere Berger McNamee Schmetterer/Euro RSCG, while New York’s Zenith Media handles direct-to-consumer media planning and buying.
