The striking actors in the 20-week SAG/AFTRA stand-off yesterday met with advertisers and federal mediators, agreeing to meet again today.
Advertising representatives decided to continue yesterday’s discussions immediately. There was, according to one source, a “new wrinkle” in the talks to end the strike that has hit production of TV commercials.
“It’s probably a good sign”, said Lee Goldstein, managing partner at DiMassimo Brand Advertising, “but when a jury decides to deliberate twice in a court case, the trial usually ends up bad”.
