SMG Signs up Middle East Strategist

LONDON: Publicis-owned Starcom MediaVest Group has reportedly lured Universal McCann senior executive Mark Hamilton to a newly-created role as strategy director for the Middle East and North Africa.

Hamilton, who has been vp client service director, EMEA at UM for more than four years, will oversee the SMG's entire operations in the region.

Says ceo Iain Jacob: "The region is typically recording some 25% growth per year, and we're seeing even more than that."
