Publicis Groupe Revamps Senior Management

28 September 2006

PARIS: Publicis Groupe chairman/ceo Maurice Lévy yesterday reshuffled the management deck at the globe's fourth largest agency holding group.

An adroit dealer of winning hands, Lévy has appointed former Havas strategic development director Fabrice Fries as the group's general secretary. He assumes the role from imminent retiree Claudine Bienaimé.

Chief financial officer Jean-Michel Etienne adds the title executive vice president to his business card, while existing evp without portfolio Jean-Yves Naouri takes responsibility for operations.

In the laudation mandatory on such occasions, Lévy proclaimed: "Jean-Michel and Jean-Yves have played a crucial role in our group: solid finances and a streamlined and efficient organisation are powerful advantages for us moving forward."
