Groupe Publicis, the Paris-based global agency network, is to restructure its US operations, melding its eight offices into three regional businesses. Robert H Bloom, chairman and chief executive of Publicis in America – as the company will now be known – will head the new structure.

Publicis in New York will continue to function as the group’s US headquarters with Tony DeGregorio (52) at the helm as president and chief creative officer. He will be joined by a yet-to-be-appointed chairman and chief executive.

Publicis in Mid America, located in Chicago, will unite the Dallas and Indianapolis offices with the Windy City’s existing operation. Seth Werner (45) and Steve Price (48), former co-chairmen and chief executives of the Dallas operation, are appointed co-presidents with Werner doubling as chief creative officer and Price as chief operating officer. Barry Krause (46) ex-president of Publicis & Hal Riney Chicago, is chairman and chief executive.

Based in Seattle, Publicis in the West comprises the Boise, Idaho and Seattle offices, with Dennis Miller (47) as chief executive and Gail Anne Grosso (44) in the dual role of president and executive creative director. The San Francisco office of Publicis & Hal Riney is excluded from the reorganisation, remaining an autonomous unit reporting direct to Paris.
