Pakistani commercial satellite TV channel Prime TV has been launched in Europe by Telenor, a Norwegian communications group. The newcomer is encrypted and is available to subscribers across the continent.

A 24-hour family entertainment channel, Prime TV transmits popular Pakistani dramas, documentaries, children's programs, talk and variety shows, films, and news updates from the mother country. It targets the 2m Pakistanis resident in Europe, plus multi-cultural groups from the Punjab and Bengali areas of India and Bangladesh.
