New York Seeks Shop for Anti-Smoking Task

16 November 2000

New York State’s Department of Health is on the hunt for a shop to handle the creative and media planning account for its campaign to discourage teen smoking.

The print, TV, radio and online drive, targeting 12 to 17 year-olds, will enlist children to help it appeal to its intended audience. Billings should be around $20 million.

Christine Salmon, director of the Bureau of Health Promotion at the Department, announced that thirteen agencies had submitted proposals. A decision is expected by January.
