New Quartet Accepted into Advertising Hall of Fame

The lifetime achievements of four individuals will be recognised by acceptance into the Advertising Hall of Fame, managed by the American Advertising Foundation.

The quartet, to be inducted March 19 at New York’s Waldorf-Astoria Hotel, includes a posthumous accolade – Katharine Graham, one-time chair and chief executive of the Washington Post Company.

The others are: Hal Riney, chairman/ceo of Publicis & Hal Riney in San Francisco; Charles D Peebler Jr, chairman emeritus of recently acquired True North Communications; and John Smale, quondam chairman/ceo of Procter & Gamble.
