PARIS: World number five marketing network Havas, which in November melded its divers media planning and buying units under the new umbrella of Havas Media, has appointed Romain Dessal as chief commercial officer of the freshly-minted entity.
It encompasses the operations of Havas's worldwide media planning and buying network MPG; also specialty communications unit Arena; online and digital network MediaContacts; Havas Sports; and B6 Integrated Entertainment.
Dessal, a long-serving Havas executive, is charged with honing the group's competitive edge, stimulating further integration between media and advertising; and managing new business, marketing and client servicing.
He joins the recently appointed management quartet of Jordi Ustrell (cfo), Don Epperson (coo), Hernan Sanchez (chief intelligence officer) and chief media investment officer Juan Bascones.
