Namesake Marketer to Head McDonald's Northern Europe

17 May 2006

OAKBROOK, ILLINOIS - The global burger barony has appointed former British Airways' global marketer Jill McDonald as chief marketing officer in charge of McDonald's £50m-plus annual advertising budget in the UK and northern Europe.
In January McDonald (the person, not the burger) was the most senior marketing casualty of a British Airways cost slashfest by 'new broom' ceo, Willie Walsh.
Big Mac's two most senior existing UK marketing executives, vp/cmo Laurie Morgan - currently on maternity leave - and head of marketing, Dominic Rowell, will report to McDonald.
