NTL:Telewest Offers 'Four for the Price of Three'

27 July 2006

LONDON: US-owned cable operator NTL:Telewest, which operates solely in the UK, is to offer its basic TV service free of charge to its landline phone subscribers.

Boosted by the recent acquisition of Virgin Mobile, NTL:T is touting a £40 ($73.63; €58.55) per month quadruple-play package of digital TV, broadband internet access, plus fixed and mobile telephony - thereby trumping BSkyB's recently launched triple-play package.

NTL:T already offers a triple-play package for £30 and will add the mobile element from September. Any two parts of the quad package will be available for £20 a month, while any three will cost £30.
