Mullen/LHC in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, incumbent on the $10–$15 million account of the Hanes clothing and hosiery brands, has refused to participate in a review, bringing to an end a tenure on the business spanning nearly twenty years.
“We just felt like our resources were better focused on our existing clients and other new business prospects moving forward,” explained the agency, which is part of the Lowe Group.
Bob Scott, vp–consumer marketing for the Hanes, Just My Size and Hanes Her Way brands, added: “While we were surprised to learn of it, we respect Mullen/LHC's decision to withdraw from the review.”
Sara Lee, the brands’ parent, commented that the review would continue with four finalists. Mullen still handles other Sara Lee accounts, such as Champion jogging bras.
