MillerCoors Taps Andy England as Global CMO

MILWAUKEE: MillerCoors, the hybrid that emerged last October from the merger of brewing giants Molson Coors with SABMiller, has appointed Andy England as its first chief marketing officer.

England, who held the same title at Molson Coors prior to the merger (finally approved last week by the Department of Justice) also joins the company's leadership team. He will report to MillerCoors' president and chief commercial officer Tom Long.

The merged entity's ceo is Leo Kiely, who held the same role at Coors and enthused about his new leadership team.

"I believe this seasoned and diverse group of leaders is the best in the American beer business. Together, we will create a stronger, more competitive US brewer, with an enhanced portfolio of brands and the experience and passion needed to win."

The merger is expected to be legally finalized on June 30, although the new company's headquarters location has yet to be announced.
