Microsoft Again Delays Windows Vista Launch

23 March 2006

REDMOND, WASHINGTON - The software titan has announced a delay in launching its long-awaited Windows Vista operating system, triggered, according to insiders, by plans for a major management shake-up within Microsoft's Windows unit.
Originally slated for a Thanksgiving-Christmas season launch, Vista is now unlikely to be on sale to consumers before January 2007. However, a version for large business customers will be available in November, vows James Allchin, co-president of Microsoft's platforms and services division.
