MADRID: Spanish soccer club Real Madrid has agreed to sell its television broadcasting rights for €1.1 billion ($1.41bn; £742m) over the next seven seasons to Iberian production company Mediapro Group.

The club is one of the biggest and most successful in Europe, fielding the likes of superstars David Beckham and Gonzalez Blanco Raul, while Mediapro is a major shareholder in the new free-to-air Spanish channel La Sexta, which launched earlier this year.
