McCann Erickson Makes EMEA Change

03 May 2007

LONDON: The announcement earlier this week by McCann Erickson of Giuseppe Usuelli's elevation to head of its Europe, Middle East and Africa operations [WARC News: 30-Apr-07] was premature.

It now appears the vacancy left by the abrupt departure of Rupert Howell is to be filled by US region president Brett Gosper.

Usuelli, currently ceo of McCann Worldgroup Italy, will remain chairman of EMEA. For his part, Gosper will also oversee the McCann UK Group as chairman/ceo.

The network, part of Interpublic Group, says Michael McLaren will replace Gosper, while Lori Senecal will become general manager in New York.
