Marketing Management Musical Chairs at Kellogg

BATTLE CREEK, Michigan: Jeff Montie, executive vice president of Kellogg Company and president of global innovation, marketing and sales at Kellogg International, is to leave the food giant after twenty years, perhaps exhausted by the burden of his long-winded job titles.

Kellogg president/ceo David Mackay delivered the obligatory eulogy: "Jeff has been a valued member of our global leadership team. His marketing talents and management capabilities greatly benefitted Kellogg throughout his more than twenty-year career with the company."

Filling the vacuum left by Montie's departure is global chief marketing officer Mark Baynes, who becomes vp Kellogg Company and part of its Global Leadership Team in addition to his existing duties.

He is charged with ensuring that worldwide marketing efforts are "closely-linked" to the company's long-term strategic growth targets.
