Management Upheaval at Universal McCann

A major shake-up at McCann-Erickson Worldwide’s London-based media planning/buying unit Universal McCann. The move, designed to beef-up the network’s management team for Europe, Middle East and Africa, creates three new executive positions.

They are: executive vice president and head of worldwide accounts; strategic planning director; and executive vice president, director of Universal Interactive and Programming.

Respectively filling the new slosts are Brian Jacobs, former managing director of Carat International; Kay McCarthy, ex-strategic planning director of McCann-Erickson Worldwide, Dublin; and current chair of Universal McCann UK and Ireland Group, Chris Shaw.
