MTV Names International President

NEW YORK: Viacom has elevated ten year company veteran Bob Bakish to the new role of president at its MTV Networks International division, reporting to vice-chairman Bill Roedy.

Bakish, currently evp of operations and Viacom Enterprises, will assume day-to-day management responsibility of MTVNI, including the local and regional operations across Europe, Latin America and Asia-Pacific, as well as international functions and business units.

MTVNI has also made several key appointments in its Viacom Brand Solutions global team. Mark Jones joins from ZenithOptimedia as vp responsible for managing large-scale multiplatform marketing and advertising deals with key US-based global clients.

Meantime, Samantha Maltin moves from Nickelodeon to the role of vp responsible for developing global partnerships with US-based companies across the entire Viacom brand portfolio.
