J C Decaux Gains Stake in Frankfurt Airport’s Ad Arm

08 November 2000

Outdoor advertising titan J C Decaux has forged a deal with Europe’s third largest airport in Frankfurt.

The French company will gain a 39% holding in the airport’s internal advertising network as part of the partnership agreement. Ad sales earned Frankfurt Airport $12 million last year.

The move is part of an international expansion drive by Decaux, backed by a branding campaign via Publicis in Paris.
