Interactive to Lead 2004 Ad Recovery, Havas Predicts

Havas, the Paris-headquartered agency holding company, is in upbeat mode about prospects for the worldwide ad industry.

Together with the London Business School, the parent of Euro RSCG Worldwide, Arnold and the Media Planning Group polled decision-makers in the US, Germany, Britain, France, Brazil and China about their anticipated marketing expenditure for the next twelve months.

The playback predicts that adspend in continental Europe is set to grow by 4.4% in 2004, with interactive work in some markets soaring by 14.2%.

Brazil and China are forecast to lead the world in terms of year-on-year growth, while Eurozone economic powerhouses France and Germany will enjoy only modest increases in ad revenues.
