ITV Profits Up Despite Southbound Ad Revenues

    LONDON - The UK's largest commercial broadcaster ITV is set to unveil pre-tax profits for 2005 of £435 million ($755.48m; €635.65m) today, Wednesday, despite a 3% fall in ad revenue for its main channel ITV1.
    According to reports, ITV1's ad revenue is expected to be down year-on-year by almost 15% , its share eroded by the rise and rise of digital platforms Freeview and BSkyB [WAMN: 03-Mar-06].
    However, insiders say ITV will reveal that ad revenue for its family of digital channels (ITV1, ITV2, ITV3 and ITV4) have risen by around 2%.
