EDUCATIONAL BODY, The Institute of Direct Marketing has launched a job register to help graduates find work within the dm industry. In addition to the Institute’s own courses, nine universities also run courses leading to an IDM Certificate in Direct Marketing and numerous others include dm modules within general business and marketing curricula. The IDM will act as a broker, matching the right graduates to suitable vacancies: 'We want any direct marketing company interested in employing graduates to get in touch with us. Our initial feedback is that companies are impressed with the quality of students', says Ian Smith, IDM education director.
