Havas Places All Media Assets Under One Umbrella

SURESNES, France: World number five agency holding company Havas announced Monday the creation of Havas Media - a new unit that will conduct its global media assets under the baton of ceo Alfonso Rodes Vila.

The latter, in conjunction with a four-strong executive committee, will oversee operations of Havas's worldwide media planning and buying network MPG; also specialty communications unit Arena; online and digital network MediaContacts; Havas Sports; and B6 Integrated Entertainment.

The executive quartet comprises:

  • MPG cfo Jordi Ustrell, who also assumes the mantle of cfo Havas Media;

  • MediaContacts ceo Don Epperson, who now doubles as chief operating officer, Havas Media;

  • MPG chief intelligence officer Hernan Sanchez, who takes a mirror role at Havas Media;

  • MPG chief media investment officer Juan Bascones, who will also serve as chief media investment officer, Havas Media.
Operational and functional details of the new entity have yet to be announced.
