Goodyear Narrows Field to Four

Goodyear Tire & Rubber is believed to have selected four agencies to go through to the next round of its $60 million North American review.

The four are said to be: McCann-Erickson WorldGroup in New York; BBDO Worldwide in the same city; San Francisco’s Goodby Silverstein & Partners; and GSD&M in Austin, Texas.

Former incumbent J Walter Thompson in Detroit pulled out of the race last month after relations with the tire company soured [WAMN: 26-Jan-01].

Goodyear commented that it would confirm the lineup later this week.
