Gillette Unveils New Sporting Icon Ads

BOSTON: The smooth chins of sporting superstars Tiger Woods (pictured), Roger Federer and Thierry Henry have made their debut in a new advertising campaign from razor giant Gillette.

The Procter & Gamble-owned brand parted company with ultimate sporting ex-icon David Beckham last summer when he failed to agree an extension of his £40 million ($78m; €53m) contract.

The new global TV ad, created by Omnicom Group's BBDO network, features the golfer, the tennis ace and the French soccer player dressed in black and talking about the importance of preparation, with the tagline "Prepare to be your best today".
